JCM 10,011 #1 Posted December 22, 2024 Can any of you WH Historians Enlighten me on this 595 R & D. Looks like a cross between an 88 and 89 500 Series and a C-195. 2

rmaynard 15,905 #4 Posted December 22, 2024 I saw this beautiful machine back in 2011 or 2012 at the Big Show. It was a creation of the imagination of Eldon Gladfelter (kj4kicks). I believe it was bought by another RedSquare member David Cline several years later. I don't know where it is now. 1
8ntruck 7,368 #5 Posted December 22, 2024 What is the engine in that? A 20 horse Onan?
JCM 10,011 #6 Posted December 22, 2024 Is this the member that did the build @rmaynard Bob. Eldon ? I believe it is a 20 HP Onan. @8ntruck 4
kpinnc 13,659 #7 Posted December 22, 2024 (edited) That machine was gorgeous. Eldon could turn a restoration faster than anyone I’ve ever seen, and they were absolutely as nice as the day they came off the assembly line. The story on that machine started as just any other mod, but quickly developed into a bit of a practical joke- complete with some fuzzy old pictures of another 595HD found in the woods to add to the “validity” of the supposed rare model. It even had faded paint and decals to add to the authenticity. Of course it was all in fun, but was a very nice tractor regardless. If you look close- you’ll see D series hubs and rear wheels, and a 60-inch deck. Everything looked factory. Edited December 22, 2024 by kpinnc 3

Also a super cool rig.

He had a kitchen supply company, and made various aftermarket parts for Wheel Horses. Among other things, he had custom hoses, footrest mats, etc. He used to be on the board of the WHCC, but after a rift with some of the other board members, I haven't seen him at the show for years. Overall good (and talented) guy in my opinion. 6
JCM 10,011 #10 Posted December 22, 2024 Thank you Bob. Yes I remember those rubber footrests. Didn't know he owned that. Wish I could find that same material he made those out of. @rmaynard There are many talented RS members on here for sure !
