Maynardb 3 #1 Posted Thursday at 09:39 PM Hi im rebuilding a trans for my suburban and have a spare for parts. The original trans had the cap style axle seals which cost you your first born, while the spare trans has small neoprene ones that fit in the small recess at the end of the housing. Both housings have that recess, so can I use the small ones instead? My guess is they are a lot cheaper so what do you all think? Or is it that they both should have a neoprene o-ring in that groove, with the cap style seals on top? thx

Maynardb 3 #3 Posted yesterday at 01:53 AM Well, it leaks a bit, but I attribute that to worn bushings. It looks like a real lipped seal but it’s pretty narrow
