moe1965 744 #1 Posted December 19 Hello all I was thinking of adding wings to my snow blade. I'm assuming that is what the two slots on both sides of the blade are for. Any of you have them added to there plow blade. I think they would be a big help. Any thoughts......
ebinmaine 68,406 #2 Posted December 19 I have the ones in the thread linked below that were made by @JoeM I've purchased brackets and Hardware but have not mounted them yet. My intention is to put them on a 48 inch plow. I'll be keeping it straightforward all the time. No side tilt. I believe this should give me what is effectively a small version of a parking lot scoop type plow.

peter lena 8,726 #4 Posted December 19 @moe1965 think I would personally , add a couple of , spring loaded slider cups to the outer bottom of plow blade , look up related , quad accessories , similar could adapt . another thing to think about is the added tremendous side , angular force on that set up , your push point would be feet away from its strength , have personally mineral oiled my plow blade faces , for very easy slide off , they have an oiled patina slide point that makes quick work of plowing issues, like free HP ! another thing I do , is to bACK PLOW , my goal , giving me an easier go to point , zero rust on blade , the release is always clean / slick , also plow with the sun , moving it to a known melting spot , lets me easily , let the sun turn it into a slidable storm drain melt finish . those plows really respond to a detailed squeeze lever , tune up , typically sloppy , rusty . the plow quadrant compression spring drives the entire set up ! swings / moves with little effort . like to set it up on milk crates , verify your work / function , then install on tractor , swings with ease , pete
