Can anyone give me an approximate value for my 1986 308-8 Red Head? It runs and cuts perfectly, no issues. Always stored indoors. Thanks and have great day!

Goodness, if that’s in original condition it’s amazing!
 

Value for a 40 year old lawnmower is highly subjective.  Your typical neighbor might say $100.  To the most enthusiastic collector it could be twelve times that. 
 

if you listed it for sale at $500 it would probably sell quickly, especially in the spring.  A buyer will never offer you more than you’re asking so there’s no reason to aim too low. 
 

It’s a nice looking machine.  I like the big tractor/little engine format so that one speaks to me.

I tend to agree with Steve on the seasonal value. Kind of like trying to sell a boat in the fall.... best to wait 'till spring.

What is the overall condition of the deck & mule drive??

Any other accessories go with it??

Recent repairs?? Unidrive seals, Gear oil change & new shifter boot??

All the above affect the sale price.......

The first year 1986 came with the all red hood, next two years had the black grill.

Why are you looking to sell such a nice machine ? 308-8 was my very first Wheel Horse. I too had the all red grill. Shortly after I bought the 308 I picked up 3 others. More tractors then room. You can only have 1 first, 308-8 was mine.
