RED-Z06 2,479 #1 Posted December 11, 2024 Since the 312-8 got scrapped, I had its 48" blade, wheels/tires, spacers, and stuff. Cant find a half decent deck for the 416-H so its been chilling a while in the back of the shop, one of the original 1993 Deka turfs in back gave out a few months ago so i figured heck let's toss the fluid filled 24s on. Fit great, lots of room, rubbed the tank frame without spacers, it definitely feels more stable, cant wait to hook up a plow.

Traction plowing on turfs has been its weakness, and those old turfs have deep plowed alot of ground. But that 8 speed, i had it twisting the frame pushing crushed asphalt in 2nd Hi with the 48" blade.
Tonytoro416 1,096 #8 Posted December 12, 2024 I debated going with 12 wides but couldn’t find the ones I wanted at the time so went with 10.50. Still have to run about a 3/4” spacer Mine are tucked up under the fenders about as much as possible without rubbing

Lots of room with 2" spacers. Got to do something for front tires though.

But only because I baby my hydros a little. The Eaton1100 will do most all of what you ask of it.

Hated to scrap the 312, but 1 shifter broke off in the trans and the other was about to, engine had a knock, it was rusted from 16 years in a field before i got it 3 years ago. Rebuilt the locked engine, got the locked 8 speed going, i used it quite a bit. But I knew the eroded shifters wouldn't last forever.

ebinmaine 70,674 #14 Posted December 12, 2024 Might not be a bad idea to put those in Sparky's, Let's Talk Tires thread.
