For now they work great.. well … not great but as great as the factory lights work!

A slightly longer screw in one corner will allow a star washer and nut to secure a small ground wire. Then you don’t need a jumper for the hood.

Or run LEDs and actually see in the dark. Couple different ideas in the thread below.

If you're talking about the screws on the bezel that's not really a good idea. Those are intended to hold the bezel on and do nothing for the poor hinge connection unless you run a ground from the housing to the frame which is....jumpering the hinge. Tighten them too much and the bezel will suffer. Properly installed the housing is held in place with two pop rivets. If I've removed them replace with steel rivets. Never a hood to housing ground issue. Countless times I've seen obvious issues with the hood hinge only as a ground. It's a lousy connection at best. Jumper it.

There are gazillions of direct replacement bulbs out there. I purchased a package of ten of these for cheap and they work great. Goofy thing is, I haven't used the headlights for years.

@fourwheelhorseman I finally got a minute in the in the dark to get some comparison pics of my snow plow tractor's LED lights.

Agreed. I've had some that ran really warm.  I make sure to keep them away from paint.

In the next couple weeks I'll get a set put together and detail what's done.
