Valve guide K181

I have alot of side to side play especially on the exhaust valve. 

I have  a machine shops i can go to

But was thinking i would try to press out the worn guide first. 

I have done research and found out there is not enough room in breather box for it so apparently somehow you must break it off in breather box first?

Not sure what that best method would be. Some say just  a rapid hit with hammer and chisel and I'm guessing it shatters.

Actually, you pull it out. Be aware that the valve stem too may be excessively worn. New valve stems are long from the factory & must be ground at the small end to give the proper valve clearance.

New valve guides must be reamed to proper size after installing in the block...

Look over the attached file pages 11.5 and 11.6.

Depends the does engine work or not.

No it will not. I suppose a proper redneck might be able to get in there with a sawzall and cut it.

Well, he better have it.!!

Some Machine Shops only deal with Auto & truck machining, others dabble with small engine stuff.

Hopefully your guy has experience with K series Kohlers.
