And now for something a little different

I like to add a unique sampling to my bourbon shelf for the holidays and browse the bourbon section until something jumps out at me....

Agree!

Last time I tried buying it they said it wasn't available...? :( Michigan was late to the game getting distribution... but it was originally available...

Bourbon has been available consistently...

I've never found a place in Indiana that carries it and I've never tasted it but I did want a bottle to display. Somehow this found a way into my truck when I made the Elgin road trip to pick up the Dino C-121. :auto-driving:

My brother-in-law was a big bourbon sipper. When he'd come to visit from West Virginia, I'd always have something here for him to drink. I don't drink alcohol any longer, so not knowing any better, I just decided to get a bottle of Wheel Horse. He poured some into a glass, didn't say anything, but I noticed that bottle was not touched again. After he left, I decided to taste the stuff. :angry-fire:  I used the rest of the bourbon for paint stripper.

I've never been much of a drinker of hard stuff until just a few years ago.

As you can imagine we all have preferences but also, some brands are specifically meant to be mixed, and some sipped by themselves.

I have no taste for bourbon or scotch but I don't mind rye at all if it's the right one.

WH rye is ...  OK.

If I want a good sipper I get Russell's Reserve 6 years aged. Glass of ice. That's the stuff.

The WH stuff is 100 proof and strong so it's not necessarily made for the casual whiskey taster or a whiskey connoisseur. I've definitely tried much worse.

If you want to add something special to the bourban shelf, go with Angle's Envy. :handgestures-thumbupright:
