The BBT and The Bear  have had a lovely meal all by themselves.  

 

Half a turkey breast smoked outside. 

 

 

 

 

 

There was also smashed sweet potato 🥔 , cranberry  sauce, and some spiced veggies.  🥕🍠

Dessert was a fantastic pie 🥧 of a creamy cheesecake 😋 base with a pumpkin 🎃 upper layer. 

 

Oh and of course egg nog.

A Happy Thanksgiving to you all.  

 

Today we had brunch at daughter's house. 

Tomorrow, at mom's request,  Pam and I, my brother and his wife and mom will head to Branson, MO to watch Clay Cooper's Christmas show in celebration of mom's 89th birthday. 

Saturday will be the family Thanksgiving/Christmas.  We will be hosting 22 people. Smoked brisket (catered), double smoked spiral cut ham (me) the usual vegetables, rolls and deserts including a blackberry & peach pie baked in the dutch oven that I'll cook while watching the smoker.

We have all sons, grandsons, nephews, and grandnephews in our family, so on traditional Thanksgiving Day the boys all celebrate with their inlaws.   

Mrs. K and I had a late Breakfast,  then brought the two Christmas trees in from the barn.      Very thankful today...the lights all worked.

Then watched the Cubs give away the upset.        Now our dinner will be two bowls of leftover venison burger veggie soup and crackers.

 

Our Kennell Family Thanksgiving   dinner  will be on Sunday.     Last count was 28 eaters.
