ebinmaine 70,495 #1 Posted November 27, 2024 We've got a pretty fair sized snow storm coming up on Thursday afternoon. We're on this red circle right on the 6" line. The BBT has been in GO MODE at home finalizing for us to move it. She reorganized the equipment storage including getting both plow mo-chines out. Got my 1975 C160 Automatic with the BIG 60 inch plow faced and ready. She changed the drive belt on her own 867 Pigpen. Installed the rear bracket, plow, and tire chains. She even had help from the chickens!! BRING IT ON!!! 9

Definitely interesting to watch them walk around and do chicken things. Only big disadvantage is the..... fertilizer.... that they leave everywhere. 1

JCM 10,011 #11 Posted November 28, 2024 I have heard back in the old days that VW beetles were the fastest car off the line for the first 3 feet Is that the truth or just a wives tale ? @stevasaurus 1

The diagonal shift pattern certainly doesn't help.
WHGuy413 2,771 #13 Posted November 28, 2024 It’s currently raining here. We just dodged the snow side of the storm that’s headed your way. Please keep it all up there! Wheelhorse_kid is all ready with the plow, weights and chains on his c-121. He has visions of plowing small storms with his rj-58 but it’s not quiet ready. My 12 auto is ready for firewood duty. Still need to get to my other sons 856 and put a plow and chains on it. Have a happy thanksgiving! 2

We let ours out full time and completely unprotected this year after guarding them and keeping watch for 4 seasons. Our chickens are now 5 years old and past prime. They aren't worth culling for meat. We figured for SURE they'd be in the food chain. Well.......... nope. We have all kinds of ground and air predation here. The ground troops are apparently kept at bay by the scary dog. The overhead birds like hawks and owls 🦉 have a difficult time sneaking up on our super cautious flock. 15 minutes ago, Wayne0 said: I got the driveway stakes in the other day. No drill required. Wayne0 897 #21 Posted November 29, 2024 We drove up our Daughter and Son-in-law's in Laconia for Thanksgiving. Had fun with the 3 boys! Hit a little snow in the afternoon when we left, but by the time we hit Concord, it was mostly rain. We got all rain here in Danville.
