Free ranging chickens are great. They always want to know what you are up to.

Definitely interesting to watch them walk around and do chicken things. Only big disadvantage is the.....  fertilizer.... that they leave everywhere.

AAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!  Winter in Maine !!!!  Been there, loved that !!!  :occasion-xmas:  My 1972 Super Beetle loved it up there.  Bought it new in Elsworth for $2500...hurst shifter and the trailer package.  Drove it for 11 years.

Got that notion from one o' you all.

Definitely an improvement in steering for such a light tractor.

Can recommend.

@ebinmaine I’m ready too here. I don’t think we’ll get as much though.

I have heard back in the old days that VW beetles were the fastest car off the line for the first 3 feet   :ROTF:  Is that the truth or just a wives tale ?  @stevasaurus

Probably true.  The diagonal shift pattern certainly doesn't help.

It’s currently raining here. We just dodged the snow side of the storm that’s headed your way. Please keep it all up there!

Wheelhorse_kid is all ready with the plow, weights and chains on his c-121. He has visions of plowing small storms with his rj-58 but it’s not quiet ready. My 12 auto is ready for firewood duty. Still need to get to my other sons 856 and put a plow and chains on it.

Have a happy thanksgiving!

Hope this tractor can deal with it.

The other disadvantage is that, like mine, they become part of the food chain. :angry-cussingblack:

I got the driveway stakes in the other day. No drill required. Waited too long last year. :angry-fire:  Big Red is always ready with the big deuce. Got the deck off Ole' Rusty and the blade on yesterday.

Now we wait..........

Ya know....

We let ours out full time and completely unprotected this year after guarding them and keeping watch for 4 seasons.

Our chickens are now 5 years old and past prime. They aren't worth culling for meat.

We figured for SURE they'd be in the food chain.

Well.......... nope.  We have all kinds of ground and air predation here. The ground troops are apparently kept at bay by the scary dog. The overhead birds like hawks and owls 🦉  have a difficult time sneaking up on our super cautious flock.

We've got a pretty fair sized snow storm coming up on Thursday afternoon.

Got my 1975 C160 Automatic with the BIG 60 inch plow faced and ready.

:occasion-snowman:

Eric. My arms hurt just looking at that 60”plow. Cool looking tractors. How much did you get for snow. Ski area are opening today in many areas in the N/East.

We live on the south facing side of the southern most White Mountains here in Maine.

We got less than 2"

5 miles north they got 5+

We drove up our Daughter and Son-in-law's in Laconia for Thanksgiving. Had fun with the 3 boys! Hit a little snow in the afternoon when we left, but by the time we hit Concord, it was mostly rain.

We got all rain here in Danville.
