It will be fine, I just realized I ordered tires that are 2.5 inches wider than my rims, would that work, may not be a good idea but I don’t want to spend another $70 on tires, got the last ones cheap on Black Friday

If the sidewalls aren't too stiff you should be fine.

Yep, these are 10.50 on 7.5 wide wheels. Turfs tend to give plenty to mount up. Lug tires (true 10.50) not so much.

I wasn't familiar with Ken Block so did a little search.      Seems he lived fast and died going fast on a snowmobile.    Keep on quoting him if you wish but please be careful, we want our younger Wheel Horse enthusiasts to keep the hobby going for a long time.

trust me i will, if my mom sees me being dumb i will get yelled at so i will keep it tamed

and I got my rack and pinion all mounted this morning and went to turn it and it turns backwards, I flipped it now I don't have enough room to mount it, is there a way to make it work upside down, or does it not work that way?

rack and pinion idea wont work, I checked, I'll figure something out

You will probably be able to overcome this by swapping your front spindles from side to side and mounting the steering rack in front of the spindle pivot points rather tan under the frame. Take a look at this picture.

Yeah I once considered adding a stock V8 to a roller skate but realized my foot would no longer fit if I did. Just one of many reasons that made the project untenable I guess.

…Reminds me of the Air Force kid who strapped rockets to his car.

I do wish you all the luck with your endeavors. I hope you will use any and all available safety protection that you can find. You might just need it.

I got the steering in and mounted and steering the right way, maybe a bit more trimming but its good, I'm not the best fabricator or claim to be, I'd call myself a, if it holds and works as intended it will be just fine kinda guy, I do got to finish welding my bracket, and the hose clamps are that the cheap Chinese threads stripped out on one hole , and it ain't pretty or engineered at all, I think this working on stuff got me smarter because I can think up this on the spot or as I'm going and get it done, or a trick or the "trade" or hobby

got my engine back on tonight and I wet to start it and the poitive clip fell off and it backfired and lit on fire, just a bit of breal clean, it was all ok, and it wants to go straight to full throttle, I figured out why, there is no spring to hold it idle, or one was missing, I'll get it fixed

its still coming along, I got my new steering wheel mount and wheel on, I got the gas tank mounted and my chain tensioner done, then I threw the seat and body panels back on for now. I took the gas tank off of my 856 and the belt cover its a parts tractor, or yard art. and I realized that my axle is too long, it is a 1 inch axle but it sticks a foot off the frame on both sides.

that's how it looks now, don't mind the mess, that's a weekends worth of working, I got it cleaned up.

ive been working more, i have it on saw horses. i put my engine back in tonight, before i had the 2 rear bolts mounted, now i got all 4, for the front holes one of the holes is in the hole were the origonal engine was, so i took a pice of angle iron and that mounts the front 2, they both evenly pull on the angle iron, i will fix it after i get it going and "finalize" stuff then put in a pach and i may keep that pice because that would stregithen the frame a lot, its just as wide as the frame. that may be the last update till christmad when i get parts. merry christmas yall, unless i update before christmas agin

i lied, its before christmas. me and my freind had a little christmas, i got some rims and free labor . but we got the tires on and for being almost 2 inches to wide there not bad, I could not get one tire to seal on the bead because china made stuff. the little nubs on the tires were too close to the bead and folded over, I pulled them off with pliers and all good agin, merry Christmas
