When I butcher, I always feed the critters. Here is a Red Tail on this years deer kill remains. kpinnc 12,157 #23 Posted November 21 Growing up, my dad was always bringing home injured birds he found at work. The ones that stand out in memory were a hawk, an owl, and a great blue heron. I always knew he was a bit crazy, but catching either of those with his bare hands probably could have been entertaining to say the least. He always had contacts that did animal rescue and recovery, but he liked to show them off first.
