But over the entire length of the beam which is 36' 2 1/2 inches isn't actually a huge amount, but yes it definitely will be destressing for a while. But I'm not putting any kind of weight that was on it, probably ever. I will probably sister part of the beam where they took a small chunk out where they ran bolts through to suspend the beams. Only the one beam pulled up out of the notch and I don't know that there was anything even holding it in the notch other then gravity. 2 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

But got a little done today. Got the connection on the beam strengthened up. AlexR 937 #135 Posted 11 hours ago Worked on the barn some more today after pulling the kids around behind the B100 in a sled before the snow melts. I got all of the floor removed in the 1/3 of the barn that I have been working on. Next is getting the bolts and removing those 2x12's and the post. After that I will level the beams and start laying down the new floor in some of that area need to move at least the stack inside the barn so I can get the rest of the barn floor up.
