Bill D 1,927 #1 Posted November 14 I have a chance to pick up a decent looking 1989 308-8. No deck or other attachments, just the mule. Hasn't run in two years. Looks straight and clean for it's age. Nothing I really want, just hate to see it scrapped. The lady selling it is a widow and I'd like to be fair to her. Probably going to be parted out if I do buy it as the engine is way to small to run a 48" deck and I don't need another 8 speed transmission. Sorry , no pictures. Other consideration is getting it out safely. House is on a hill on a busy road. Thanks for the input.
ebinmaine 67,766 #2 Posted November 14 If it's complete, whether it runs or not, you could easily get $300 worth of Parts out of that.
MainelyWheelhorse 506 #3 Posted November 14 Or, a parts machine if you have a breakdown on one of the other tractors. That’s what I was initially going to do with my 87 and it ran and drove well enough I found a job for it.
Lee1977 6,682 #4 Posted November 14 (edited) In good running shape $500. May have narrow wheels 22x750x12 and 15x 6x6 tires 3 amp charging system and AC head lights .. The rest is the same as any other 300 series, with the exception of a 312-H or 314-H. Ten times better then any lawn tractor with a 20 HP something junk engine and transmission.
