Bluehill_2 0 #1 Posted November 5 I’ve got a 77’ C160 Auto. The lift arm from the deck seems to be missing some parts. Can someone please show me a picture of their lift mechanism? Ive looked at an IPL but I’m not getting it. My issue is that I can lift the deck, but there is nothing to lift the serrate stop on the lift handle.
Ed Kennell 38,349 #2 Posted November 5 (edited) to the Your 160 is missing some lift parts. Looks like this was originally a hydro lift that someone crudely fabricated a make shift manual lift mechanism. Go to our manuals section and download the operating manual for your tractor. Click on the file download and scroll down the file to find the correct manual lift parts. The other option is to restore it back to the hydro lift. Either way, you need some major parts. If you are happy with the lift as is, you could add a rod sticking out to the foot rest where you could raise the locking bar with your toe. BTW, there should only be two positions on the deck lift. Completely up for transport and completely down for mowing. For mowing the deck should be supported by the drear deck wheels and not hanging from the lift. Lee1977 6,689 #3 Posted November 5 (edited) That's some Jerry Rigged system some one has put on there. You best look for some who has scraped a C-series tractor and get all the parts. From your picture looks like all 18 parts are missing or destroyed building that. Maybe Qwest will be along the show the parts diagram. My computer won't let me up load. Bluehill_2 0 #4 Posted November 6 I kind of suspected that it was probably a hydro lift but everything had been removed. Is there a way to tell if it was actually a hydro model or are all of these capable of adding a hydraulic lift without modifying the hydro? I like the idea of adding a peg to lift the serrated bar to make the current setup work.
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,078 #5 Posted November 6 Don't know what is appropriate in this case. Suspect 1975 models are the same and we have original parts list for both the 8-speed and auto.
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,078 #6 Posted November 6 Looks like the hydraulic lift was optional for the 1977 C-160 Automatic

That don't tell you anything as both the hydrolic control and the dial-a-hite mount up in the same holes on a C-series.
