They are easy to replace provided the hub comes off without issue. The transmission uses regular gear oil (any 90w or similar). That little plug on the left side of the transmission is the only way to check the oil level on that tractor. It should be right up to the top of the peep hole on level ground. Got around to changing the tranny oil, I’d say she was a….. little over due. Had to use my oil vac after this initial chunk came out. Probably will drive it for a little, and flush it again because there has to be tons of remnants in it

It’s what happens when the PO fails to replace the shifter boot.
STLWheelHorse 20 #28 Posted December 20, 2024 Does anyone know if the l156 rear hub has any sort of conversion kit available? The wheels installed on mine were rigged on there, I’m wondering if I can atleast close the gap
pfrederi 18,279 #29 Posted December 20, 2024 Why did they mount the Ag tires backwards?? Looks like the wheel would like a normal 5 bolt hole wh hub (1" axle variety). Used are widely available...

Used are widely available... 1 inch, 5-bolt axle hubs are still out there. Far harder to find the 3-bolt that is on your Ranger. Looking how far off center those holes were drilled, the machine should ride a little better after you swap them out.
