Hey all,

This was on a Kohler K181 that was in an old Wheel Horse I bought.  I have never seen a carb like this before.  I've searched the internet and can't find any info on it.  I figured someone on here will know what it is.

Does anyone know anything about it?

Thanks everyone!

Very unusual to see an updraft carburetor  with the breather at the bottom.                :scratchead:

That's an odd cuss.

Would that have been on a generator originally?

This is the post of the tractor... obviously not the original engine.

Looks like a real old Flo-jet. Is the motor a Briggs?

It was on a Kohler, don't know if it would fit other blocks or not.

Now that's a neat piece of information. I was just reading the other day that there's a Briggs carb base gasket which is a near perfect interchange for a Kohler small block.

@Pullstart has used a Kohler carburetor on a Tecumseh, as long as the bolt holes are close enough to bolt it up I don't see why not.

The one you have looks like it may be considerably older than the Wheel Horse. Wouldn't be a Briggs because the main jet runs straight in rather than an upward angle.

:text-yeahthat:  The basic principles apply, and the mechanicals don’t actually care what brand or color they are working with.  Seems there’s a lesson to be learned there.. :orcs-cheers: :greetings-waveyellow: :handgestures-thumbupright:

@953 nut beat me to it, but I’ve also used a Kohler carb on a Tecchy before.

No telling what that carb is from, but it certainly is interesting given the fuel pump is integrated.

Since this is still getting kicked around here's another thread of a 633. scroll down and there is a picture to confirm this is a Tillson carb on a Kohler.

Also the Ol Blue 953 carcass I have has that same tillson carb on the Kohler K141 or k161 that is on it.
