Shuboxlover 478 #1 Posted October 31 Hey all, This was on a Kohler K181 that was in an old Wheel Horse I bought. I have never seen a carb like this before. I've searched the internet and can't find any info on it. I figured someone on here will know what it is. Does anyone know anything about it? Thanks everyone! 953 nut 55,022 #4 Posted October 31 Very unusual to see an updraft carburetor with the breather at the bottom.

Wayne0 428 #10 Posted November 1 Looks like a real old Flo-jet. Is the motor a Briggs?
Shuboxlover 478 #11 Posted November 1 It was on a Kohler, don't know if it would fit other blocks or not.

I was just reading the other day that there's a Briggs carb base gasket which is a near perfect interchange for a Kohler small block.

The one you have looks like it may be considerably older than the Wheel Horse. Wouldn't be a Briggs because the main jet runs straight in rather than an upward angle.

The basic principles apply, and the mechanicals don’t actually care what brand or color they are working with. Seems there’s a lesson to be learned there..

No telling what that carb is from, but it certainly is interesting given the fuel pump is integrated. Edited November 2 by kpinnc
oliver2-44 9,674 #16 Posted November 3 Since this is still getting kicked around here's another thread of a 633. scroll down and there is a picture to confirm this is a Tillson carb on a Kohler. Also the Ol Blue 953 carcass I have has that same tillson carb on the Kohler K141 or k161 that is on it. 1
