Obviously, this is not factory, but this is a work of art by someone who took a horse and molded it to what he needed...American Ingenuity !!  Just check out all the belts and how they work.  It looks to be an 8 hsp with a starter generator with a 60's hood...so...856/857 ??  I don't think this is blasphemy of a horse.  I think, just like the Ponds, someone built and fabricated what he needed to do a job.  Who ever did this, spent a lot of time designing and trail and error to make this work.  I would love to see a journal with notes and drawings of this concept.

   Or...hold my beer and watch this !!   

Any 70's seat will work...a boat seat might be more comfortable.

I, too, am admiring the ingenuity to get this to work. I especially like the household light switch on the left side--ignition? accessory?

 

But what does it do?! There seems to be a liquid line in the hopper and with the pipe routing it’d avoid siphoning. Fill livestock water troughs or maybe water crops or trees? Maybe a grain or seed bin and blower?

It's not Wheel Horse factory, but it looks like a factory modification.  Some type of blower, not sure what, a lot of it by the size of the bin.

At one point in its life that was a 855 or 1055. A am not aware of anyone making replacement seat covers for them at this time. @BOB ELLISON made some great covers a few years back but has retired from that.

They were thinking, "solve the problem and make it work".

Personally, I love it. Lots of creativity to solve a problem and make it work in order to get the job done more efficiently.

I wonder what they put in the bin for mink feed. They used to use dead or down cattle all ground up ... bones & all. Quite the stinky slurry if a remember right.  All the mink farms are extinct in WI now. Lots of them back in the 50 60s & 70s. 

 

Definitely a 7 or 8 hp. Note how the SG is mounted down like a JD round fender. Be interesting to run the spec # on it.

If your serious about a seat @DPrice a member by the name of Matt Castagno ... I prolly butchered his name  ... but don't remember his handle ... his wife was  making them. Think he's on FB as well. 

Thought @buckrancher had a line on them too you'd have to ask. Seat might be worth more than the tractor tho.

We definitely need some more kit-bashing builders though. @Ed Kennell was building some cool stuff for a while. Old Skool from Maine was going at it for a bit too with some real interesting stuff but he doesn't frequent as much anymore. Jay building his truck might be the only current big custom build going on right now, that I can remember
