Wheel weights

Recommended Posts

Hi all. Just a quick question. Looking at a 314h. The owner sent me a picture of it. Looks real good. Deck is a 48" that looks good too. I don't know what he is asking yet. He doesn't know what to ask, it was his Fathers tractor. Does anyone recognize or know what kind of wheel weights these may be? I don't think they are Wheel Horse. At least, I have never seen them before. He also has an 8" plow and cultivator. Plus a home made belly blade and a home made front blade with it. I haven't put eyeballs on it yet. Where do you think I should start as an offer?

Those wheel weights look like factory Wheelhorse weights from the 70s.

I've only seen pics. Never in person.

If that's correct...

The rear set is worth $200.

The fronts are rare and worth a minimum $250.

There's a LOT of good value if the rest of the rig is solid and runs and drives well.

They look Wheel Horse to me.       If it's low hours, well maintained, and works as it should, could be a $1K package deal.

Those are factory Wheel Horse cast weights. Complete set of cast weights is worth $400-$450 in my opinion.

does anyone know what Wheel Horse stated as the weight of the wheel weights were when they were marketing/selling them? Specifically, the 80s-90s era weights with the black plastic covers and emblem in the middle? thanks

I sold a pair of cast WH rears last spring for $150.    I am having trouble keeping up with this 20%/year inflation.

Hey Mark, next time you go by, your belt guard and filter are by the barn door.

Looking forward to a glimpse into the cookie jar. The buckets seem to be self replenishing.

Out of town again this coming weekend. Will need to postpone a little longer.

I don't know why, but at least in my area the price of cast weights seem to be coming down. I've seen several sets sell for $150. The front do bring a little more money as they are a little more rare. I'd like to get a set of rears but I'm holding our for a $100 steal

That's a nice looking 314H and I would agree with the $1,000 price estimate.

:text-yeahthat: (and low hours is anything under 750 in my book)

From the photo it appears the 314 is coming from a farm.         :handgestures-thumbupright:           Farmers tend to do a much better job of maintaining their equipment than the typical home owner. Also, the home built attachments are probably well constructed.  I agree that a $ 1,000 package deal sounds about correct.

I think i have those weights on front of my 654?? I can't even remember how I got them. Either I got them when I bought my 604 or I might have gotten them from Buckeyes?? He gave me some boxes of parts & I believe some wheel weights.
