WHX?? 48,847 #1 Posted October 26 (edited) Alice is always been problematic starting and melted the tip of a fine pocket knife jumping the solenoid. While searching for the gremlin I decided it would be best with a whole new wiring job. PO had replaced the K with a magnum ... guess he had worked at Kohler go figure. Question is should I A) Pull the oil sensor out and plug it? It was not wired in. The safety switches are getting nixed. B Wire it in? C) Just leave it in and tie wrap the wires back? I suck at most things but pretty good at keep an eye on oil. Battery tray came out for cleaning and fix a broken hoobie doo so now would be the time. Gets the nod. If I ever have to pull balance gears out she will come then. I thought this was odd too. A plug that appears to be factory. Anyone knows what this is was used for? Thoughts are using it for a turbo boost gauge... Prolly end up with a stupid hour meter tho. They just remind one of how little seat time one gets on a tractor. Since this is a dedicated tiller seat time won't be much. Maybe double up the ammeter with a voltmeter?? Note the absence of a regulator... a magnum ... maybe fab a new plate and add a gauge ala @Aldon ?? Edited October 27 by WHX?? 1

I have enough work getting a new tractor to my satisfaction ... 18 hours ago, JCM said: Oh no, another one naming his tractors. I usually don't but I got this one from a gal named Alice and since I only paid $200 with a magnum, the tiller and a 42" I felt obligated... Dan also lived next door to a gal named Alice. He still talks about here when he's blasted... which is quite often... Edited October 27 by WHX??
squonk 41,171 #11 Posted October 27 That hole was for the optional hour meter. My C-160 has one there. 53 minutes ago, WHX?? said: I thought this was odd too. A plug that appears to be factory.
