PTO mount C-101

Recommended Posts

Wheelhorse#1

Swapping out a 10hp for a 12.

Had to remove the shaker plate, that had the   mount for the PTO at the bottom.

Does anyone know how to modify this or
I’m think maybe an earlier model had an eyelet that bolted to the frame ?

I think most any year and model that didn’t use a shaker plate OR had an engine plate like the 520 should have the bolt-on bracket- of course provided it used the hoop-style PTO. Every 1973 and up had them as well as every 300-400 series that I’ve owned. Should be very easy to find and inexpensive.

I checked the Parts department.

Somehow I've accumulated no less than >> 4 << of the upper bracket but no spare lower ones.

I've got a couple tractors that are  disassembled so I can get the measurements if it'll help.

Yep--nice picture @ebinmaine!

Onan-powered models have a base plate that extends out past the frame with a hole that accepts the PTO bail.

And just FYI don’t use an Onan plate as a template to make your own bracket. Where the hoop goes is different for those engines.

The pic below is an Onan plate bolted to a C120 frame.

Thanks all

I was going to attempt to make one but I have enough to do as is .

Found one on the Fleabay for 12.00 including ship…pretty reasonable I’d say.

Thanks for all the helpful comments.

Yes I’ve been looking and most all seem to be the same with the hoop style.

thx
