Herd out in the sun fall 2024

Got the herd out for the last time before most of them go to bed for the winter.

Just a 520 and 48" deck is still in service to mulch leaves and the 520HC and blade is getting ready to plow snow.

 

 

 

I did some work to a 416-8 for a fellow redsquare member so I put it in the lineup as well.

 

Next year the Work Horse will be in the lineup as well I hope.

@cleat That is a very nice line a of Wheel Horses. Do you see many up there in Ontario?

There are a few, I have worked on some that are close to me and a member just brought one over for service that lives 1.5 hrs or about 75 miles north of me.

 

There are a few for sale within an hour drive and more fore sale further west in Ontario but around 3-4 hr drive.

 

Whenever one comes up for sale locally I at least look at it and usually buy it if the price is right.

 

I rarely see one out in the wild just driving around so either there are not many left around me or they are kept inside.

I just use a basic seat that I get locally then I get an arm rest kit that I bolt to the seat.

The seat has the threaded holes for the arm rests.

The factory 520 arm rests will also work if you get the correct ones with the 3 bolt mount.

Also I lied as in there was a guy around 2 or 3 miles away mulching leaves with a wheel horse just a week ago or so.

I should have stopped and talked to him but I was in a rush that day so I didn't but I will keep an eye out and stop if I see it out again.
