Jason Miller 24 #1 Posted October 19 Hey guys just need help with a ballpark number. Auction right by my house and he has 2 wheel horses. Would really like one for a garden tractor to use around the house. Here is pics. I’ll be checking them in person tomorrow. Have no clue what to bid.
Moonshine*Connoisseur 435 #2 Posted October 19 They both look to be in very nice shape. I wouldn't be scared to bid up to $400 on each. If you go above $400 then it's a matter of how bad do you want that particular model. Check them over good, I see the first one has a newer magnum engine on it. Someone did care for them as clean as they are.
Ed Kennell 38,158 #3 Posted October 19 I would pay $150 for any Wheel Horse. If they start, run, and drive, the price easily doubles.
WHX?? 48,815 #4 Posted October 19 The 8 hp looks to be a 867. All orginal possibly. I would go 4 - 450 on that runs & drives.

The hood decals are correct, but installed incorrectly. Also can’t see if it has a high/low shifter. My T867 came to me with a swapped transmission. I assume the PO busted the differential and just swapped in something else. Of course now I always look for that…
JCM 9,136 #6 Posted October 19 B-100 looks like a K-Series with a coil, not a Magnum @Moonshine*Connoisseur

Jason Miller 24 #8 Posted October 21 Did yesterday the one has some smoke. It’s a 6 speed with high low range. The other hydrostatic . I was thinking 1,000 for each to much?
c-series don 8,690 #9 Posted October 21 1000 each is definitely too much, maybe for both. Just my two cents.
WHX?? 48,815 #10 Posted October 21 (edited) 800 for both... Edited October 21 by WHX??
Jason Miller 24 #11 Posted October 21 One is b 100 not sure on the other looks close to my 856 but says six speed on side has a high low range.
Jason Miller 24 #12 Posted October 21 Can’t get the pic sent on the other. yes one has a high low range like my 866 very similar. Smokes blue not sure if that’s fixable. the other is hydrostatic both were redone over great shape.
Ed Kennell 38,158 #14 Posted October 21 Those are 3-400 $ tractors in my area.

Be cautious that it wasn’t just a paint job. Chain the hydro to a tree and see if it will spin the wheels to test it b
peter lena 8,618 #18 Posted October 21 @Jason Miller looks like worth making an offer , on the engine smoke issue , first thing I regularly do on any unknown engine is to run it in on fresh fuel with KROIL IN THE FUEL , no screaming engine , amazing varnish / crud cutter , overall look see , pete
Jason Miller 24 #19 Posted November 1 Update on the sale! Both sold for $650 each. Little high for me especially one smoking and the other not testing the hydrostatic.
953 nut 55,197 #20 Posted November 1 Good that you let them go, they were way overpriced.
