peter lena 8,620 #7 Posted October 13 @ mark siebenaler , might check wally world for battery , 300 cca , $ 32 , have had very good luck with wally batteries , also have a battery tender hook up on each of my horses , so its a quick / simple plug in . pete
Mark siebenaler 88 #8 Posted October 13 Well not to happy right now. Put a temp battery in it got it running. Goes forward but won't make it up the ditch and only a slight reverse. My fault trusted the guy he only showed me a video of it going forward and when I went to pick it up he said the battery took a dump. Anyway for 400 bucks I'm still ok .
peter lena 8,620 #9 Posted October 13 @Mark siebenaler lots to look at on any recent purchase , would drop carb bowl , probably loaded , also tank for debris , is very common , also drop drain / flush out trans . like to run in any recent engine on a seperate gallon of heavily treated fresh gas .crud / varnish cutter , done the routine many times . pete

Don't give up hope. @squonk has found that using 10 W 40 motor oil can help a Sundstrand come back to life. That and a new WIX 51410 filter (or NAPA 1410) may make a big difference. The attached manual will give you some other considerations including acceleration springs to consider.

Mark siebenaler 88 #17 Posted October 13 Maybe it has something to do with tow valve. Yesterday when loading the guy said it won't freewheel so I put it into freewheel probably for very first time ever I wonder if it could be something there.
pfrederi 17,734 #18 Posted October 13 Try working the tow valve ...you can turn it around and around it is a port type valve...may fix it self if not you can pull it but access is a PITA Does the midmount lift go up and down???
Mark siebenaler 88 #19 Posted October 13 Ok sorry i made a mistake all good now. The tow valve was still in freewheel position. I'm going to go slap myself now.
