I call BS. The folks in Carolina and Tennessee had NO IDEA this storm would impact them in such a horrific way. This severe of a hurricane that far inland is simply unprecedented. The rivers overwhelmed the residents so fast it was impossible to react in time.

 

Practice what you preach about "Please go back and do some more research before echoing these rumors."

The one host of the mid-day radio show I listen to lives not too far from this area, and last week he was saying it's been about 100 years since something like this happened to the Asheville area. Not only was it long enough ago that it hasn't happened in living memory, most of the people who live there didn't even know this could happen there.
