rmaynard 15,530 #1 Posted September 25 I've always been fascinated by numbers and sequences of numbers, but last night I happened to look at my watch. It was 9:24. The date was 9/24, and my address is 924 Chapel Rd. Nothing special happened, and I'm still alive. Just sayin' 3

Racinbob 11,108 #3 Posted September 26 We still lived in Florida when I drove to Jacksonville to check out some puppies. They were just looking for a good home and I ended up taking one. I asked when they were born and it was December 4th. Easy to remember because that's my birthday too. OK, fine. It was on the way home with the puppy that I realized the house address where she was at was 1954. The year I was born. 🙂 4
stevasaurus 22,769 #4 Posted September 26 Back in my Navy days, we had digetal clocks showing Zulu Time. While I and my mates stood watch, we would always keep an eye on the clocks. Talk about looking for sequences of numbers, some one would always yell out "Clock Benny?" when one was spotted. Obviously, 12 34 56 was a biggie, but 11 11 11, 22 22 22, 12 12 12, 12 31 23, 12 33 21 were all easy to spot. My watch mate and I both have had Calculus and Differential Equations in college, so we always looked for new sequences that didn't stand out and left the rest of the watch scratching their heads. I still wake up early in the morning and notice a "Clock Benny" and quietly smile and go back to sleep.
SylvanLakeWH 25,610 #5 Posted September 26 This all has me thinking in binary... There are ten types of people in the world. Those that understand binary and those that don't... The other day I told ten jokes about binary, but nobody got either of them... I speak ten languages. English and Binary... Learning binary is as easy as 01, 10, 11... And finally, a binary mathematician walks into a bar and orders ten drinks. The bartender says ok and hands him two beers... 1
