They be hunted down.

 

i give our Hunters the info where they go in and out and they Watch them.

Boars here make unbelievable damages if they be in a Field.

sometimes they destroy all internally except the lst 4 rows to outside.

The wild boars are also a problem here in the USA.   Mainly in our southern states where they destroy crops and forests.

Are your boar hunters professional government appointed or can any private citizen hunt?

We have coyote issues up here. The coyotes impact the deer population that is a big money maker for the state. They wreak havoc on farms with cows, chickens etc…Coyote trappers come through my area every so often, and thin them out, but they bounce back.

Here all Hunters must definitely be certified by Goverment, even when you want privatly hunting.

As far as i knew this is differently to the States.

 

If you be certified you can pay a Tax to be a owner of a hunting Area - if you have the Luck to get one - because they be held for long terms.

The yearly Tax depends on the Areal. The cheapest i from a Friend i know start from about 50.000/year up to....

When you „own“ than a hunting Area you be responsible for it and you can sub license it to others but only with a hunting certification,

The hunting certification is allway‘s required.

But it‘s hard to get a own hunting Area because they be mostly handed over since Generations.

 

Hunt without any certification is strictly prohibited by Law and can sent you quickly in Jail.

You be allowed to go with a hunter without permission but you be not allowed go by yourself,

even if it is your own Property.

 

Luckily my Neighbor is a licensed Hunter with several own hunting Areals all combined are definitely huge.

This are all the Forrests, i was allowed to ride arround with my Tractas or the Subi.

 

I didn‘t know how much it is at all but the Areal i fly for him are 18 Fields including the 6 Forrests.

He has several sub licensed hunters.

In Michigan open season for coyotes is July 15-April 15 with a base license. However, you can take coyote at any time without a hunting license on private land by the landowner or designee if the coyote is or is about to damage property, pets, livestock or humans.

Here they firstly protected the Wolf by Law,

but now after their populations grows, they droped the Protection down an also a Wolf can be shot if 

his dna is found by a killed sheep herd or a Cow herd.

 

How this will be controlled is out of my knowledges 

because i never see a Wolf with a DNA Tag on his neck.

 

Some our laws also here are very weird.

A guy I work with went out west to a wild pig hunting preserve a few years ago. Said it was the best pork he's ever had. $1500 for a weekend, but guaranteed at least one kill.

A young one, less that 150lb and even better less than 100lbs can be good. 
Large ones, especially boars are rank and get drug off.  The buzzards won’t even touch them.

Good to know.     I think I have probably eaten nearly every North American wild game, but never had wild boar.

ruff grouse breast

Mrs. Ks oyster pie and crab cakes

white perch  and brown trout      fileted, breaded and pan fried

 

 

May be the way it was made, but here are a few I will never try again;

pronghorn antelope    tastes and smells like the sagebrush it lives in

roasted raccoon     tastes like an oily bluefish

goose    greasy

I had it a couple of times from friends that hunted out west. I liked it but gave me the runs...  Sausage was good.

 

40 years ago when I bought this place a local pig farmer had a 400 lb sow get out. It followed the river I live on and I actually sat up in a tree for it. Back when I could draw a recurve yet! Ended up getting wacked by a car and the poor farmer had to pay all the damages.

We'll spend a week on the bay in two weeks.   Hope to lay in enough crab meat to have crab cakes all winter.

 

I took that sagebrush pronghorn buck  in Eastern Montana.        Tanned the hide and mounted, deoderized several times, and 20 years later it still smells like sage on a damp day.

Signs of fall....

 

Earlier today I saw a platform topped pontoon boat that was all shrink wrapped and being pulled down the road. Likely headed towards storage. That's a big sign of fall around here.
