yep, definitely bizarre and that's disappointing too.   There are a few Wawa and Sheetz stations around me that sell ethanol free. right now $4.05/gallon.

just as another reference -- i have family in upstate NY Adirondacks - - the E-free Recreational gas as its called is 91 octane and about $ 4.90 per gallon typically

Normal Rec fuel in this area is 90 - 93 octane. Most airports won't sell to the General Public. You have to have a tail number from your own airplane so they can write it down for recordkeeping. It was one place at the Portland Jetport that would sell 5 - 15 Gallons at a time. That was 108 octane. I bought that once a few years ago when I didn't have good access to anything else.

  There’s a gas station near me, maybe 6 miles away, with a Cam2 pump. Ethanol free and 110 octane! And it’s like $13 a gallon. 

  I’ve never bought it. Not sure I should be running that high of an octane

High octane won't harm your engine but that $ 13 per gallon would hurt your wallet. Some stations around here dell Non-E 89 for $ 3.59 while others sell Non-E 91 at $ 4.19, guess which one I buy.
