Ken B 3,189 #1 Posted September 20, 2024 Ole Ken B hasn’t posted in a while but I’m still kicking and Horsing around. Lately I have been sticking to tractors I have a solid use for. Currently I have a 417 with a Kohler Command 18 I transplanted with Stevebo. I also have an LXI I recently repainted along with a DXI and an Xi that I am currently selling. I just picked up the DXI, although I have had it a very short time I really like it! It has 475 hours on it and it runs fantastic. The 417 wound up with a Kohler Command because a flywheel magnet decided to let loose and put a huge hole in the side of the block. Stevebo came to the rescue with the Kohler Command he had in stock. I’m really glad I went this route, such a smooth and powerful runner. In order, 417 with 18 Kohler Command, 520 xi with Kohler 20, LXI with Kawasaki 20 liquid cooled and DXI diesel 23 hp. 2
kpinnc 14,547 #2 Posted September 20, 2024 All beautiful machines Ken! I’m definitely a fan of the re-powered 417. I have a few v-twin conversions myself. They are hard to beat and well suited to a Wheel Horse layout. Smooth and powerful!

wallfish 18,021 #7 Posted September 20, 2024 Nice to see you post again Ken and very nice machines. I might be interested in that DXI and might want to upgrade from the 520 HC snow blower machine to one of those If I can find a 2 stager for it.
