on one of my 310-8 on the amp meter doesen't register i have power on the terminal is the gauge bad

If the volt meter has power to it and is not working check the ground wire to be sure it is connected.

310-8 could be K series engine  (battery ignition  3 amp charging system)    or Magnum with 3 amp or maybe 15amp regulated  What do you have???

A couple of days ago you posted that after mowing the electrical system seemed dead and a few suggestions were made at that time. Did this problem get resolved and what did it turn out to be?

Under the seat you will find an identification tag, the model number from that tag will tell us what charging system and type of wiring your 310-8 left the factory with.
