Mike_eash 59 #1 Posted September 18 I am doing a complete rebuild on my Kohler k241 for my charger 10 Also did a complete restoration on the tractor The attached pics are prior to me blowing up the motor not long after restoration lol! so now im doing a total rebuild on the motor. However the oil seal that came with the gasket kit is slightly to small. im thinking some high heat glue to glue it in . Would that work? If so recommendations? Or any other thoughts would be appreciated Thanks in advance
rmaynard 15,535 #2 Posted September 18 I would not glue it in. Get the correct seal and do it right. The Charger looks great.
953 nut 55,393 #3 Posted September 18 (edited) Get the right seal now or wish you had done so when you are cleaning up the mess and replacing the wrong one. The manual below will help you find the correct part number. First step, find the Spec Number on your engine's fan cover, then locate that spec number in spec number index on pages 3 to 9 Step 2, look across the group titles until you find Group 7 (crankcase) Step 3, Where the Spec Number and Group 7 intersect there will be a Variation Number and a page number. Step 4, Go to that page and look at F1 (front seal) or F2 (rear seal) depending on what you need. Step 5, Look for the Variation number obtained in Step 3 and you will find the correct part number.
