Artmilaca 23 #1 Posted September 16 (edited) I was told that the performer engine was the same as a 220G and I have that service manual. I went through the ignition system diagnostics and everything seems normal except that coil secondary resistance is 21,500 ohms instead of the suggested 19,800 which to me is not that far off and should not be a problem. The other issue is at the end of diagnostics it calls for connecting a jumper from the positive battery terminal to the positive coil terminal to see if you have spark....... I do have spark Procedure says if you have spark then you have a problem in the low pressure cut out switch if equipped or related wiring and lubricating system such as low pressure that prevents voltage getting to the coil. Problem is I don't know where these sensors are on this Performer engine to be able to check or bypass them for further diagnostics. gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,070 #2 Posted September 16 Test your ignition switch to see if it is providing power to the ignition coil in the START position and RUN key positions. I don't think you have any engine safety switches. You may be good up to the 9-pin connector between the engine harness and the tractor harness. Artmilaca 23 #3 Posted September 16 The model is a 520H but I don't know if there is or where the ID tag is on the tractor. My other 520h as a P220G and this one has a Onan Performer 20xls. lynnmor 7,321 #4 Posted September 16 The engines are the same. There are no low oil level or oil pressure switches. The 9 pin connector mentioned above is a good place to start. Download the Demystification Guide in the Manuals section so you can trace the ignition circuit to see where the voltage is lost. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
