squonk 41,104 #3 Posted September 15 After verifying the battery is good and fully charged, See how much the voltage drops with the key in the crank position. if it drops more than a couple of volts start looking for a bad or dirty battery cable. also make sure the ground connection at the engine block is clean too. it takes around 65 amps to crank a little 8 horse with a starter /gen 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
