squonk 41,693 #3 Posted September 15, 2024 After verifying the battery is good and fully charged, See how much the voltage drops with the key in the crank position. if it drops more than a couple of volts start looking for a bad or dirty battery cable. also make sure the ground connection at the engine block is clean too. it takes around 65 amps to crank a little 8 horse with a starter /gen 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
