@953 nut  like the small winch , establish chain / cable lubricant  into the cable windings , that will stop rust , and make for consistent  smooth cable flexing .  used to rebuild / refit  winches on  duce and a half  trucks in the guard , final function test was a full winch retraction on the truck  , establishes lube tracking , and imbeds itself  throughout  cabling  set up ,  napa , macs , chain / cable fluid , also a terrific rustproofing for automotive body panels , rather have an oil film , than a rust thru , pete
