I think I am going to put a plow on it this winter. I was told that these are great plow tractors because of the limited slip trannys. Thanks for the reply.

If you clean them well I use Gorilla tape in the hot sun and keep pressing down on the spots that need fixing. In bad areas you can use a weight to hold it down. So far I have done few this way. It is the sun that does the work and good Quilty tape.

Used to plow with it after resto till I set up a dedicated 1257 plow mule. Would like to find a rough molested 1267 to resto. Only model I would ever resto again. 1

I've learned to appreciate the patina look... I have said for a long time my 701 will be my last, and that I want it to be as close as “correct” as I can make it. Me get be why it’s in a pile of parts right now. But I see a lot of machines (such as some flavor of a 65-67) that make me want to make my shop into a mess for weeks… 1
Retired Wrencher 5,469 #22 Posted October 4 (edited) that make me want to make my shop into a mess for weeks… @kpinnc I would say that is part of the fun and in the winter this is what keeps me from going nuts all this time with nothing to do. I have a 1057 that is up next. Tore it down to the frame cleaned every part buy hand. That is a time killer. Edited October 4 by Retired Wrencher
