Merci pour vos réponses Gilou Edited September 2 by Gilou15

I know that Wheel Horses are not plentiful in France but you would be much better off buying one with an automatic transmission or putting you engine in the C-160. To replace a manual transmission with an automatic you will also need to have the shifting mechanism from the C-160 and the brake rods. If you are looking at purchasing a C-160 parts tractor that hasn't been stripped of other parts you may be able to pull this off, but measure carefully before you buy. The pulley on the engine for a Hydro (automatic) is larger than what your Raider has and the hydro itself consumes a couple of horsepower so the 10 HP running a hydro may be disappointing. TonyToro Jr. 1,415 #3 Posted September 3 For anyone wondering. Hello, I have an old Rider 10 3V (4 speeds) I have the opportunity to buy an automatic transmission from a C160 Sundstrand -Stronger differential and fun automatic gearbox!!! I'm not sure if it's possible to bolt it on without a lot of work (frame transformation) I don't know if the two frames are different. Does anyone know the answer??? Thanks for your answers Gilou
Gilou15 7 #4 Posted September 3 Thanks Tony ! In fact , I would buy a complete rear transmission of a C160 with commands, shifting and the hydraulic lift for 50€ ! However ,I can fit an Onan 16 hp or a K320 ..I only would know if the frames are same My dream would be to find a GT14 !! I have a C101 8 Speed in perfect condition
Handy Don 12,217 #5 Posted September 3 As @953 nut pointed out, the job is more than the transaxle. Brake and clutch pedals and linkages are affected as is the mounting of the fenders and seat. Adding or removing hydraulic lift affects its controls, plumbing, and even the center rock shaft (which can be an absolute bear to remove).
Gilou15 7 #6 Posted September 3 Thanks for yours answers... I 'll keep stock my Rider 10 ... But the Kolher is worn and I 'll fit a K321 or an Onan 16hp.. If I find a WH Hydro : What is the best : Sundstrand or Eaton ? What is an Electro ?

Good decision But the Kolher is worn and I 'll fit a K321 or an Onan 16hp.. If I find a WH Hydro : What is the best : Sundstrand or Eaton ? A Sundstrand is a good hydro but in my opinion the Eaton 1100 is the best hydro if you plan to work it hard. The Eaton 700 is fine for mowing and pulling a small cart. What is an Electro ? The Electro was the top of the line Wheel Horse from 1969 and 1970. It has a Sundstrand hydro, electric PTO clutch and lights.
