ri702bill 8,387 #1 Posted September 1 (edited) All: Yesterday, I got a call from my son asking if he could stop by to change the oil in his & the girlfriends cars, after he took her 3 boys to get haircuts. I had finished cutting the grass with the 854 & parked it to wash out the underside of the deck. All 3 boys showed interest in it, so...... Why not fire up the C81 too?? Good times. squonk 41,171 #2 Posted September 1 Although some people (cough, cough) don't want me to activate the Horse Whinnie horn I inherited from roadapples at the WH show, I like to turn it on when young children come up to the tractors. I had a great time at our local steam show with the kids and the horn. The best are the ones that are real quizzical at they get near one. They tentatively touch a tractor and I make the horn sound. There eyes light up like it's Christmas morning. 6 2 1

Mike in NC 341 #9 Posted September 2 My daughter has her own garden tractor, even if it is not a Wheel Horse. Now I need to get one for my grandson. I am hoping to get him interested when he is old enough. I got him an antique Briggs engine so far, and a friend has a garden tractor for him, I just need to go pick it up.

Keaton 437 #13 Posted September 3 I think I still qualify as a kid, I'm 14 now, but I took my lawn ranger to shows and kids loved it, I was worried at first but I got better, it hurt me a but when I saw a kid jump on the break arm, I would take my 310-8 because there's no exposed parts, but I love to see it, I have loved tractors for a while and because the people I'm freinds with.
