312-8 clutch spring

Recommended Posts

Sunny Burger

Hello, I broke my clutch spring on my 312-8.  It is a spring-only system.  Can someone tell me the location of the attachment point of the non-pedal end?  Thanks.

That's a Toro 108035 spring.

It attaches to the web of the tranmission at the axle flange.

Excellent idea. I do the same. In fact I probably learned that from this site.

@Sunny Burger along with that spring , get some aerosil penetrant , like KNOCK R LOOSE , aerosol can , extension tube  to make the related rust / movement areas , then a  red grease spray , lube ,  clutch pedal set up , can / should work without effort , might look up related  schematic  drawing  to show every , movement / connection point , pete
