Daniel_Heetderks 35 #1 Posted August 12 May be a stupid question, but does anyone know how to hammer these out? Found out most of the aftermarket flow-jet carbs come with one of the linkages connected backwards. I will need to hammer this out and flip it around. I just dont know how to get this thing out and replace it (I dont have any fancy tools, and I tried just hammering it out with a small nail and hammer). Racinbob 11,096 #2 Posted August 13 You would be best off getting a set of roll pin punches and using the appropriate size to drive it out. A nail will likely damage it. 1
ri702bill 8,347 #3 Posted August 13 Your old OE linkage MAY fit to replace the "offshore" part...
WHX?? 48,833 #4 Posted August 13 Odd ...all of the offshore Briggs leak jets I have gotten were throttle correct. Set of roll pin punches. There is no way you can (decently) maintain a horse without a set. Cheap set for hobbyist.
8ntruck 7,019 #5 Posted August 13 You will want some solid back up to support the piece of linkage when you drive the pin out. 1

8ntruck 7,019 #7 Posted August 13 One of those bench top arrbor presses would do the job too.

That stop and the screw appears like it may not work properly flipped. Maybe a pic of the whole thing and linkage not so close up Edited August 14 by wallfish
