The girls and I took a factory tour and we enjoyed the festivities. @ri702bill there was a little motorcycle engine race car next to my FIL’s VROA inline6/V8 cars. They are noticeably different sizes The ‘57 Pontiac took second, only to the dark red Chevelle SS. With the patina & missing stainless trim, your Pontiac just screams of "War Wagon" !! As Gretchen Wilson sang " I may not be a 10 but the boys say I clean up good"... You see a million 57 Chevys, Corvettes, Chevelle's GTO's and early 50's GM trucks at car shows. You don't see a old beastly "survivor " every day. They get the attention all the time now. (Tires don't look Street legal!) They used to have an ALL CHEVY show in Syracuse. I had my 69 Caprice 4DR. "Grandpa Car there many years in the "full size class" I took first 1 year because the 65 Caprice convertible with 5000 miles didn't show up because it "might rain " a bit. Guys liked it because it was clean with rally wheels and it looked stock but it had a Chevelle SS intake, Quadrajet and factory style air cleaner on it. It sat atop the "Silver Streak" hood décor that was Pontiac's trademark from 1935 to 1956. Sailman 1,291 #21 Posted August 10 The red race car defiantly looks like a legends car. 1100 cc motorcycle engine. Drove one at the legends track at Atlanta Motor Speedway. The red GTO....I had the dead ringer to that one back in the day, red with black vinyl top, 389 with Hurst 4 speed and posi-traction. Mine was 1965, not sure if the one at the show was 1965 or 66.
