rmaynard 15,434 #1 Posted August 1 I have a model 79350, 48" snow plow on my 1996 416-H. However, I've never noticed these keyhole type holes in the bottom reinforcement bar on the bottom of the backside of the blade until today. I am curious what they are for.
ebinmaine 67,404 #2 Posted August 1 If there is a set like that near both ends of the plow, those are for mounting shoes or plow feet if you like.
c-series don 8,687 #3 Posted August 1 I agree with Eric, but other than the old style mushroom skids I haven’t seen factory ones that bolt in there?

I don't exactly know how the originals were set up. I have a set that was made by a fellow hillbilly from down in wv. I can show pictures of how those might go on.
c-series don 8,687 #5 Posted August 1 I understand that carriage bolts would slid in the holes but again I haven’t seen any from the factory. That being said, now someone will probably post a picture!! 2

Yup...I got a set with my 79350 plow, but welded 3/8" thick wear pads to the undersides. IF noone else posts a pocture of the OE ones, I can post one a bit later of mine... ebinmaine 67,404 #10 Posted August 1 Here's the aftermarket set I have. The part that touches the ground is 3" x 4" They're made of a hunk of 4 x 6 rectangle tube steel cut at the corners and heated and bent to the angle.

rmaynard 15,434 #16 Posted August 1 Only difference is my slots go horizontal, those are vertical, but that appears to be the answer. Thanks
8ntruck 6,998 #17 Posted August 2 When the Toro on line parts list was operating, I found a listing for the feet, saying they were still available. A trip to my local Toro dealer turned up a price of something like $70 each. I think that's a bit steep for what is essentially a bracket. Then again, they might be made out of a heat treated high carbon steel for wear resistance.

Thanks Slots for adjusting are more likely in the skid than on the blade. I’d take the parts tree image with a grain of salt.

Poor execution. I figured round feet would be better but not so. Perhaps I need to go larger diameter? Next winter I'd like to try a 48" wide "scoop". That would be facing forward all the time so feet would work better.
