Nice!! Just watch out for that pesky backwards pivpting seat latch!! :o If not latched properly, let out the clutch and you go over backwards while the tractor goes off on its own ....

There must be some reason they discontinued using them after 3 or so years..... :angry-nono:

They changed the LATCH after a few years. 

But the tilt back rear fender stayed in place until 1975 or early 76. 

 

Later type was a push lever type latch. 

It gave the advantage of not needing to remember to set the manual latch...

But they wore out the very bar they latched on to!

We've fixed several here.

Bill I have a bunch of these Start/Gen tractors and be honest that has happen to me when I was a younger man. Thanks for the post.

Thanks Mike. The paint will be satin not stain. It is like a flat red good for blending with old paint.
