In a generic manner of traction I would personally recommend some sort of turf tire with chains for plowing but there is also one that he uses year-round with a zigzag tread. 1 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Achto 27,597 #4 Posted July 29 I have heard great reviews, both first hand & over the web about the Carlise Versa Turf tire. They are expensive but claim to be good in slippery conditions without the use of chains. Mike in NC 341 #5 Posted July 29 Here is my 312-Hydro. I put V-61's on the front and Deestone 23 10.50/12's on the rear. The Deestone 10.50's are about the same weigth of the original 9.50's. ohiofarmer 3,276 #9 Posted July 30 i would put another tire in the mix for pulling and especially plowing snow. Ags were just horrible on snow. I had a set of new ATV tires that had a lot pf space between the traction parts and they require no tire chains at all. That would be great on asphalt covered in snow.[no chain scuffing] Of course they would wear faster in dirt and such things.The obvious answer is more than one set of mounted tires and threaded studs on the hubs instead of the standard tire bolt 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
