ri702bill 8,397 #2 Posted July 27 (edited) Welcome!! A few things come to mind.... Is the air filter clean? One that is visably dirty on the inside will cut the air flow to about half. Cutting deck height? You may need a higher setting. Are the blades sharp AND properly installed?? Is the belt from the PTO in good condition and properly tensioned? A slipping belt slows down the blade speed. PTO - are you using the larger of the two pulleys? That affects belt speed if wrong.Did you try WOT (wide open throttle) and a lower gear?? Is the governor working properly? All of these individually can affect the cut - a combination of 2 or more is a problem.
