BoilerBrown 0 #1 Posted July 24 I'm rebuilding the 8 speed transmission on a recently acquired C-175. I found a used set of 1533 ball bearings and bought them. Turns out that is not what mine has. Is there another part number, for a slightly larger ball bearing? I can't seem to find it. The bearing I am replacing measures 1.675" OD and 1.565" ID. Only words on it are "Germany" on the outer race.
BoilerBrown 0 #2 Posted July 24 Correction, 2.675" OD.
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,090 #3 Posted July 24 Yes there were alternate bearings used but forget when. What is you tractor model number? That should help finding it.

C-175 I'll have to run out and get the serial number later to narrow down the year. I think I may have found it. Cross references to an SKF 6008 bearing. BoilerBrown 0 #6 Posted July 24 While we are on the topic, I replaced the brake shaft bearing with a B-1212 bearing but it is 3/4" long as compared to the one it replaced at 5/8" long. The 3/4" doesn't allow room for the oil seal without offsetting the bearing into the case. Is that ok? I got the B-1212 bearing number off of another forum post. gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,090 #7 Posted July 24 Torrington bearing numbers are in 16th's of an inch. B (Type of bearing) 12/16x12/16 = 3/4x3/4. I do not know what the 5/8 deep would be - maybe B-1210?
