Keaton 426 #1 Posted July 20 (edited) I got this Springfield with my 310-8 and I need help on the engine, year and model, it says Springfield 25 on the hood, Wich is for the 25 inch deck, it is a nice teal blue, transmission shifts good I think it is a peerless, because of the look and shifter cup, no idea about year or engine except it is a Briggs and no idea on the tranny- Thanks, Keaton. Achto 27,430 #3 Posted July 20 (edited) The B&S 130000 series are a 5hp engine. Your engine was made on July 21 of 1972, according to this year date it may be a replacement engine. Edited July 20 by Achto 2
Achto 27,430 #4 Posted July 20 (edited) This might help ID the tractor. https://www.tractordata.com/lawn-tractors/tractor-brands/springfield/springfield-lawn-tractors.html Most of the Spingfield 25" mowers I see have a swing handle for steering, yours has an actual steering wheel. I think it may be a late '65 or '66 model?? Edited July 20 by Achto
Keaton 426 #5 Posted July 20 I see the 25 but all of them have a tiller type steering and thank you @Achto
