After reading the posts above and watching the video my dad's tractor was clearly an MD-TA. The video described the starting action exactly how I remembered it. Just disappointed the video didn't show the tractor starting. When you pulled / pushed the 2 levers and the diesel roared to life...it was a thing to behold! Timing of the levers had to be exact.
